Very very annoying. THANK GOD I checked the settings for this and yes, you can set the camera to "repositioning on" and it feels more like a zelda game or any other 3D game where the camera follows you around from behind.

For controller options you need to to click play then on the window that pops up you go to settings and click on the joystick tab.
