WebDefine Involuntary patient. ’ means a person who is receiving treatment under order of a court or a person admitted and detained by a treatment facility pursuant to an application filed pursuant to subsection (b) or (c) of K.S.A. 59-29b54 and amendments thereto. WebThe admission order lasts for 21 days. Most patients recover from a mental disorder within the first few weeks in hospital. Some may stay in hospital for longer.
